During her post-performance interview, the 'Independent Ladies' singjay gave career updates along with speaking about the Best Weekend Ever event itself. However, the highlight of the interview came when the interviewer posed a question to Vanessa Bling about a possible collaboration with fellow Dancehall artiste and former mentor, Vybz Kartel.
The interviewer asked, "Are we going to hear anything else with you and Kartel?"
Vanessa seemed confused about the question, which prompted the interviewer to repeat himself. Upon hearing the question, Vanessa Bling appeared to be smiling in amusement as she held the microphone in what looked like an attempt to answer the question before she abruptly left the scene of the interview.
The reaction from the 'Future Guaranteed' singer may come as a surprise to many as she and Vybz Kartel share an extensive history dating back to the days where Vanessa was a member of the Gaza camp with her stage name at the time being, 'Gaza Slim'.
Her first release as a member of the Gaza empire came in the form of a collaboration with the Worl'Boss himself titled, 'One Man' which was followed up by numerous songs that are on record as tracks that were written for her by Vybz Kartel.
The two were also rumoured to have been in a sexual relationship during those times as well. These rumours were seemingly confirmed by another former member of the Gaza, Gaza Sheba in an interview she did with 'The Fix' some months ago.
The relationship between Vanessa Bling and Vybz Kartel apparently became sullied during Vybz Kartel's incarceration where Vanessa was charged with conspiracy and attempting to pervert the course of Justice along with doing some jail time in relation to those charges which were eventually dropped.
